Geoff Perks to be WRUFC's Honorary Centenary Chairman

With Andy Kellett ending his tenure as club chair, we are delighted to announce that Geoff Perks has agreed to be our Centenary Chairman to oversee the club through its 100th season. Geoff has been part and parcel of the club from player to the committee and now from being a past president to chairman.

Everyone at WRUFC would like to offer their huge thanks and gratitude to Kel for his devoted service as chairman. Kel has been integral in our move to our home at Grappenhall, for bringing rugby back to Bridge Lane and also in staying involved with the Bridge Lane project to oversee it’s development into a venue fit for both training and matches – a move essential to supporting the club’s growth. Like Geoff, Kel and his family are a massive part of our club and we'll continue to lean on you for your support.

Geoff has stated “Firstly, I would like to add my appreciation to Andy for his work, not just as chair, but as vice chair and everything he’s done for the club. Secondly, it is an absolute pleasure and a great honour for me to be asked to be the club’s chairman at this exciting and important stage in the club’s development. The club has a great leadership team in place and we are all committed to making sure that WRUFC will continue to flourish in the years ahead. From Micros to Seniors, the club is blessed to have a great set of volunteers, coaches and players and I will give my all to welcoming everybody into our rugby family”.
