First Half

Warrington suffered 2 injury replacements Cameron and Dan not able to make into onto the field of play.
Early strength from Huddersfield resulted in a TRY. 1-0
Good tackling from Adam, Great chase and tackle by Joe. Further good tackles from Charlie and Benny.
More, great tackling from Ed, Joe and then Benny but Huddersfield persistence gets them over. TRY.2-0.
Good work by Joe in the tackle, great swerving run by Benny, Joe touches down but Try not given. On the next play, great passing along the WRUFC line for Adam to TRY. 2-1.
More darting runs from Benny after some strong tackling.
Good hold up in the maul to win possession. Ball lost in the scrum, good run from Huddersfield No 10, some WRUFC tackles missed. TRY 3-1.
Good powerhouse run by Will Mac, followed by strong run through from Sam, stopped near the line for Will B to ground for a try, ref judged as knock on, no try given.

Half Time - Huddersfield 15 - Warrington 5

Second Half

Huddersfield knocked on within 2 mins, great WRUFC defence. Good ball from Adam to Harry C and it’s a score in the corner. TRY. 3-2.
Further pressure from WRUFC but pass forward with numbers to spare. Huddersfield replied with a score in the corner. TRY 4-2.
Injuries started to take the sting out of WRUFC, with Eddie having to leave the field suffering a final blow to his hand. George Walsh stepped into as scrum half and distributed the ball out of the breakdown like a seasoned professional Mike Phillips. Great rucking by Gregor ensured we maintained possession of the ball at the scrum.
Great defence from WRUFC to finish the stronger team.

Final Score - Huddersfield 20 - Warrington 10
